What You’ll Find at Ellinjaa Falls, Queensland
Ellinjaa Falls is a waterfall about 12 meters high, flowing down a wide rock face in a lush rainforest valley.

At the bottom, there’s a blue-tinted pool where you can take a dip, though it’s not deep enough to swim fully.
The creeks flowing from the waterfall are home to the platypus, one of Australia’s famous animals. Be quiet as you approach to try and spot one swimming or resting on the banks.
You can also find a small ledge behind the waterfall, offering great views.
If you’re heading to Millaa Millaa, try to go early to avoid the crowds. After that, visit this one, and then go to Zillie Falls, which I’ve found to be the least busy of the three.
The best time to visit Ellinjaa Falls is from May to September when the weather is cooler and drier.
